Modern Blue Knoxville Wedding
As a Knoxville Wedding DJ each week I have the privilege to work with amazing couples, to share their stories, and celebrate with their family and guests. Timothy and Morgan were married on August 15, 2015 at Cokesbury United Methodist Church and their reception followed at the World’s Fair Park Amphitheater.
The Personal Touches
Guests began arriving for the reception where they enjoyed beverages, hors d’oeuvres, great music, and a selfie style photo booth. Once the wedding party arrived it was time for the grand entrance and grand it was. This would be the first of several special touches Timothy and Morgan wanted to share with everyone. They decided to have their wedding DJ, Michael Durham of PatrickMichael Weddings, introduce the wedding party “roast” style. A honey roast if you will. Each person was introduced to a song picked just for them along with a short bio of how they were connected to Timothy and Morgan. This set the stage for what can only be described as an evening of epic fun! As dinner was ending, guests were treated to Timothy and Morgan’s love story, what a fun moment this was.
Many oohs and ahs could be heard, but mostly laughter, they are a really fun couple! Morgan danced with her dad, evolution style, setting the stage for the party the would follow, while Timothy and his mom took a more traditional approach when it was their turn. Everyone danced until well into the night. For their Grand Finale everyone gathered in a circle an sang along to Friends In Low Places as Timothy and Morgan danced in the center. As the song faded, the circle turned into a huge group hug. Completely unexpected, but what a moment! Be sure to read Timothy and Morgan’s review of my services on our Love From Our Couples page.
